Katherine married Alexander Pearson Sr. November 29, 1958. She and husband Alex never had children of their own, but Kat did however become a loving stepmother to his five (5) children. 
Children: No biological children; but stepmother to five.

Katherine and Alexander Pearson had no children together, however Uncle Alex brought three children into the marriage: Ollie Pearson, Katheryn Jackson, and Judith Jackson. While Aunt Kat wasn’t directly involved in raising them, each of them held a deep respect for her as their stepmother.

She dedicated most of her working years to one family—the Lanier girls—who remained in touch with her throughout her life. Aunt Kat was also a longtime member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshiped faithfully for many years.
